The Summer I Turned Responsible

I paid $20 for a resume template. Was it a ridiculous investment for a person with no income? Yes. Did it pay off? You tell me. Do three job interviews count as a return on investment? I'd say so.

Now that I'm done flexing my big girl muscles, I'll have you know that I am in a great mood. I did those hip opening exercises that Tik Tok says releases trauma, and let me tell you, I think I'm healed of all 22 years of pent up emotional instability. It could be too soon to say, but as I was opening up my hips through restorative yoga, I gutturally laughed for 10 minutes straight. Nothing funny was said and there was no comedic reason for the laughter, and yet I cackled like an absolute insane person. Which of course, made me laugh even harder. I lend the emotional release to the stretches themselves. I therefore have to recommend. I've been in the most positive mood ever since, barring when I listened to the Folklore album in my car and shed a few tears to "this is my trying" . We've all been there, and if we haven't, then you haven't lived.

I also had a rocking therapy session today. Basically, I feel like an entirely new person. I even changed into a skirt today after my shower instead of sweatpants. Call me crazy, but that's absolutely unheard of. So, honestly you should start looking to me as your greatest role model. I'm slaying life that hard.

Yes, technically, I still don't have a job. And one day of dressing cute doesn't classify me as having clean girl aesthetic. But, it's a start. It's a start and I'll take it. I'll take any measly breadcrumb I can take when it comes to building my future. Besides, one step for man and one giant leap for mankind or whatever. Life is full of small starts and what ifs and redos, and I'm taking total advantage of that at the moment.
